Why do you do what you do: I believe yoga is a transformative practice that can effect change in every body and mind. I initially stepped onto the mat seeking to heal injuries wrought by years of competitive swimming and coaching. My practice has since evolved to combine a medley of yoga styles with pilates, mobility training, and mindfulness not just to affect the body, but to foster introspection and growth in the mind. This blended practice has imparted a profound appreciation for all that we & our bodies are capable of, and a love for the beauty expressed through movement. Yoga’s intentional motion and guiding principles constantly challenge us to consider how we view ourselves and move through this world. Every day, I am grateful for a practice that brings me a clearer understanding of body & self. Every class, I am honored to be a guide for students navigating their own paths — wherever they may lead.
