  • Reiki is a gentle, hands-on (or hands-off) healing modality that supports balance on the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual levels. Rooted in early 20th-century Japan and now practiced around the world, Reiki works by channeling universal life energy through the practitioner to the recipient. This energy—known as Rei (universal) and Ki (life force)—flows to where it’s needed most, helping to release blockages, restore energetic flow, and awaken the body’s natural healing capacity.

Sessions can feel deeply relaxing, meditative, or emotionally moving. Some describe it as a wave of warmth, a subtle shift in awareness, or a sense of peace that lingers long after the session ends.

Reiki is not a religion or belief system, and you don’t need any prior experience to receive it or learn it. It meets you exactly where you are—supporting your process of healing, reflection, and growth in whatever way is needed.

Whether you're drawn to Reiki for self-care, to hold space for others, or simply out of curiosity, learning Reiki opens a lifelong relationship with energy awareness, spiritual connection, and compassionate presence.

  • Ari is a somatic energy practitioner, yoga teacher, and Karuna Usui/Holy Fire III Reiki Master based in Richmond & DC. She blends movement, breathwork, and trauma-informed care to help students reconnect with their body and inner wisdom. With a deep background in psychology, Core Energetics, and integrative healing, Ari’s approach is empowering, embodied, and compassionate.

Emme is a Reiki Master, intuitive medium, and sound healer from Northern Virginia. She creates sacred space for soul-level healing and self-remembrance through Reiki, energy work, and intuitive connection. Emme believes that Reiki is a portal for self-discovery, transformation, and spiritual awakening—and loves witnessing students awaken to their own healing gifts.

IN SEASON : SPRING

MAY 9, FRIDAY

  • 5 PM - 6:30 PM

After Winter comes Spring! A deeper dive into YIN + TCM for Spring.

In spring, those aspects of us that have been dormant over the winter months begin to awaken. The time of vision, starting to step out, renewal, growth, starting "again". Just as nature enters a cycle of renewal, growth and expansion—so does the energy within us.

Vision is linear, memory is reflective and as you draw the line to your destination you will see what you are facing while memories from Winter reflect behind. Change direction to change memories. In the yoga practice, you want to physically open up your thighs, lungs, liver and eyes.

  • YIN YOGA:

Puts stress on areas of the body not stretching. targets the deepest tissues of the body, our connective tissues – ligaments, joints, bones, the deep fascia networks of the body and the meridians. This is contrast to a Yang yoga practice such as Vinyasa yoga which targets the muscles.

Energetically, Yin yoga improves the energy flow, enhancing the flow of chi in the organs.

    Remember Yin practice principles:

    1. Come to your appropriate edge (no forcing, no pushing)

    2. Soften the outer muscles of the body

    3. Resolve to be still, without shifting position

    4. Hold for longer

We recommend bringing socks + sweater to get cozy.

  • KAT MCCRORY

To share what I have learned and in the process learn myself, forming us. I artfully craft each teaching experience weaving in who I am, what I have learned, recipes for joy, and imagination. I believe that through this practice we can practically, actively, and consciously move through ourselves, with ourselves, in order to know ourselves better and what it is that we need.

BARRE + YANG

MAY 16, FRIDAY

  • 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM

This 60-minute class seamlessly blends the strength and precision of barre with the fluidity and breath work of vinyasa yoga. We’ll begin with a dynamic warm-up, then, flow through a series of low-impact, high-repetition barre sequences—think pliés, pulses, and balance work—woven into a creative vinyasa flow that builds heat, endurance, and deep body awareness.

Throughout the class, props like light weights, resistance bands and yoga blocks are used to support alignment and enhance the burn. We’ll close with a restorative stretch to leave you feeling strong, lengthened, and grounded.

  • Cost: $25 Drop IN
