An invitation to be within your “home.” Step inside yourself and take time to reorient, reorganize, and clean out so that in time, you can have more clarity as to whats ahead.

This class taps into the non-physical side of the practice, integrating the mind more. We'll explore where we have been, what we see ahead, and the potential we have in Spring.

We'll start class with Katonah Yoga® Inspired breath work to drop in, followed by Katonah Yoga® Theory - breakdown of the magic square, body as a house and dialogue, journaling prompts to dive deeper and end with a sound bath & cozy savasana to soak up all the grace of our efforts.

Spring is full of potential as nature starts to resurface + bloom, we remind ourselves we can resurface, start again, and bloom too. And if there is something in our way or if we are stuck, we have to ask ourselves what do we need, so we can move forward.

Intro to Bellydance

APRIL 17, FRIDAY

  • 7 PM - 8 PM

This fun, beginner-friendly class invites you to explore the rich and evolving art of bellydance (raqs sharqi) in a body-positive, inclusive space. This pop-up combines accessible technique with playful combos, encouraging self-expression and confidence at every level—no experience necessary.

More than just movement, this class offers a culturally respectful introduction to the history and context of bellydance, helping students connect with the deeper roots of the art form and its global community. We joyfully welcome dancers of all ages, bodies, backgrounds, and gender expressions. Come as you are, and move with us!

  • Andrea is a passionate bellydance instructor and a founding member of Laterna Dance Company. She teaches under Electric Nomad —originally established by Laterna’s lovely mentor, Twila Jane. Deeply moved by the emotion within music, Andrea draws inspiration from the Golden Era of raqs sharqi and theatrical movement, infusing her classes with expressive artistry and historical richness.

She believes that dance, art, and politics are intertwined, and is committed to creating inclusive, welcoming spaces where all can feel empowered. After taking a break to embrace the joys of new mom life, Andrea is thrilled to return and share her joy for dance.

ON SPRING : TRAINING

MAY TBD, SATURDAY

  • 12 - 5 PM

    Expect to dive deeper into:

    - Katonah theory through the lens of TCM and Daoism

    - good conversation, questions and journaling

    - 5 Element theory specifically on WINTER and what it's brings us, pranayama, elements, postures and more.

Learning about the TCM seasons and 5 elemental theory can provide us with a good framework that we can use as a tool to better understand ourselves, where we are and what we need.

In this training we will move through a small practice for the season articulating its magic through the practicality of asanas, pranayama and theory of each seasonal element.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) emphasizes the connection between the human body and the natural world, including the changing seasons. Each season (5) in TCM has an attendant organ system, a taste, a color, a personality type and more.

  • KAT MCCRORY

To share what I have learned and in the process learn myself, forming us. I artfully craft each teaching experience weaving in who I am, what I have learned, recipes for joy, and imagination. I believe that through this practice we can practically, actively, and consciously move through ourselves, with ourselves, in order to know ourselves better and what it is that we need.

  • Cost:

    $150 | EARLY BIRDIE $100

**This is training, no intro offers, regular class packs, or free class cards can be used for this event.
