THE ART OF US

GALLERY 5 MARCH SHOW - CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS, for TAOU artist memebers and beyond.

We do not arrive fully formed; we become through one another. The Art of Us is a collective exploration of what it means to be a part of, to come together, to be seen, and to be shaped by one another. This exhibition hopes to bring together diverse artists, voices, and experiences to reveal the ways in which our individual pieces form something larger, together.

Rooted in Taoist ideas + TAOU, this show, The Art of Us honors duality as balance rather than division. The seen and unseen, light and dark, harmony and disruption, tradition and change into conversation. Nothing exists alone, everything can be defined by the relation and presence of the other. The oppositions, diversity, and experiences shape us. They ask us to consider who we become through contrast, and what is lost when one side is erased.

OH YA, WE ARE DOING A CALL FOR SUBMISSION

Each artist can contribute work that reflects their understanding of us. What it means to belong, to gather, to be shaped, and more .

We’re seeking artists of all backgrounds, mediums, and perspectives to come together to form The Art of Us, a March exhibition celebrating the power of community and the many pieces that shape who we are individually and together.
